Consultas o dudas An international company needed to supply its client in Guatemala with products manufactured in China. DLZ coordinated the operation locally so that every supplier and every document played its role.
The project combined international transport from Asia, a formal import process, payment of duties and taxes, and distribution of the cargo within Guatemala.
Working with several suppliers across different jurisdictions required clear coordination: each participant with defined responsibilities, and documents backing both the commercial transaction and the physical movement of the goods.
The DLZ team took on local commercial coordination. We organized the import requirements, international transport from origin and the services needed for the goods to enter Guatemala, with a licensed customs broker handling the formalities.
We also coordinated local services and transport to the delivery point requested by the buyer. Before the cargo moved, the importer of record and the documentation of the operation were defined, so that everything matched the reality of the transaction and Guatemalan regulations.
